BOBBY – Model

I met Bobby sometime late last year 2009, and during our conversation he mentioned his interests and involvement in modeling. So he decided to come to the studio for a shoot session. Here are some of the images from the session.

Afolabi - You're a master of studio work. Sharp and crisp images. Well done!February 10, 2010 - 10:01 pm

Fola - These are awesome pictures, your studio is really got good light. I love the Hat series.February 9, 2010 - 1:57 pm

CHRISTIE ROUNDS -Model

Christie was one of the models i worked with when i travelled to AZ. She’s such a darling. Somehow i had scheduled to shoot with 2 models on that day, but i ended up shooting her only.

Upon my arrival in phoeniz, i arranged to meet with Nicole the MUA in other to discuss the theme of the shoot. Very courteous and professional. On the shoot day MUA was @ location earlier than expected which gave her more time to set up and be ready.

Meawhile my first shoot was suppose to be with another model @ 2pm but due to an emergency she called me to reschedule the shoot. And to my suprise Christie showed up early for her shoot, guess what we decided to prep her and start the shoot.

I just want to say that Nicole MUA did an excellent job. I conveyed my ideas to her about the looks for the shoot, without any doubt or interferance on my part, she used her professional judgement to work the magic. Thanks Nicole…

Besides, Christie really rocked the shoot, very energetic, beautiful, fun to work with and she has a great sense of humor. We had enough time to execute our goal for the shoot indeed it was a fun filled day for all of us.

Honestly, as a team we pulled it through – it was A Mission Accomplished. We were all happy with the outcome of the shoot.

BREANNA – MODEL

Interestingly, i met with Brianna and few other models when i travelled to Phoeniz, Arizona for a seminar. She’s such a beautiful lady with great personality & she totally rock the shoot.

It was such an adventure for me because people were so friendly and welcoming, the weather was kinda hot. but guess what, i love every bit of it. And as time goes on i will upload more pictures of other models i worked with..

OPHELIA & SAMUEL

It was really interesting how Ophelia & Samuel chosed me as their wedding photographer. The couple are based in New York, but they got my contact thru a friend after they saw one of my online gallery which was mailed to them by their wedding planner.

During our first consultation, the bride specifically told me that she had put some deposit down for another photographer who was going to cover their wedding day, but after she saw my online gallery, she had a change of mind that she will definately love for me to be the official photographer. Honestly i blushed when i heard her statement.

After a couple of consultation over the phone, i customized a package that for her, infact she was really happy and pleased expecially that the date was available on my calender. As a result she called the other photographer and cancelled out the contract. Favourably enough, she still had enough time to back out of that contract without forfeiting her deposit.

I went to new your to scout the wedding location 4 weeks prior, it was really nice but cold & rainy… not a good sign. besides both ceremony & reception are inside thesame premises. After checking the whole location out i noticed that i will need another source of light to enhance my shoot incase, just to be on the safe side should weather become an issue.

Low and behold on the wedding day, it was really lovely outside and the day started as planned at first, all of a sudden on getting to the ceremony site the weather became so cloudy, as a result, we were prevented from doing any location shoot. whereby all formal shots were taken indoors… I really had a good time shooting their wedding.

FAMILY & SELF PORTRAIT

These are few pictures of my family and myself. My daughter tends to like pictures much as i do. so i decided to take some family portrait not too long ago as way of appreciating all of them in my life. They are blessing to me and i am eternally greatful for everything that has transpired in my life.

Having a closer look to what life entails, i found out that the most important of all is our family. It kind of a second nature to always fall back home whenever we found ourselves in a bad situation, the truth is that Our Family will always be there to accept us back the way we are regardless of how we might have mistreated them in the past.

Family is a cord that cannot be broken. You dont have to believe it, but it’s true. Having a family to always go back home to after a long & hectic day of work… is such a beautiful feeling. There is a sense of fulfilment that one gets from having a family… it’s more of a mixed emotion.

When things are going right, family is there to cheer with you, and when otherwise problems seems to lure around… family is always there to pat you in the back with that word of encouragement… IT IS WELL… EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT. THerefore is very importatant to pay close attention and spend quality time with our family.

There are MOMENTS in life that stays with us forever… Moments filled with good memories, moment of joy, fulfilment, happiness and excitement. Quality time with family is very essential to nuture LOVE. Whatelse can we give than love to our family….

Most times we get caught up with a lot of inconsequential things that dont even make sense, then totally forget the most important one – Our family – which is the reason for all problems within families .

We are suppose to enjoy and be happy together as a family. So let us do what is right and begin to reconstruct the foundation of our family happiness so that we can all be happy as one family..

Rylee - I completely agree with you. Family is very important. Lovely family btw!June 15, 2010 - 6:49 am

FUNKE & AYO

I’ve been really blessed to have work with different people in a short span of my career as a photographer. And it’s a wake up call for me to always put my best in whatsoever i do in life and career wise.

Personally i have not done so well in terms of promoting my business, but on the other hand my work has done most of the publicity and promotes itself. Most of my clients has been through referral or expecially people who had seen my work.

Same thing goes to this beautiful couple Funke & Ayo. I recieved a call from Funke letting me know that i would be the photographer to cover her wedding day. she further explained that she was one of the bride’s maid of another wedding i did a year ago, and after she saw the wedding pictures she decided to use my services. Honestly i was really greatful to have heard such a comment….. and it really made my day. so i scheduled a consultation to meet.

On our appointment day, she was on time and i remembered that i had seen her before. Honestly she came prepared, single handedly picked what package she liked… and boom.. the deal was sealed rightaway, such a stressless consultation. And it’s so intriguing when you meet with a client who knows what they really wanted and willing to pay without any doubt.

Our next meeting was so interesting which would be the first time i met with Ayo, both of them came for the engagement shoot. Evidently you could tell that they are in love and they both love to smile, besides Ayo ‘s such a funny character with great sense of humor… The shoot went smoothly, did some studio shoot and went out for some location shoot too, infact it was a lovely day out.

On the wedding day, it was easy for me because the hotel location where the couple and the wedding train lodged was just 5 minutes away from the ceremony site, and 25 minutes to the reception. The day started as planned, the ceremony was on point except for the rain that prevented us from doing location shoot.

After the formal shoot was done inside the ceremony site, i decided to use the rain to my advantage, i got into my car & headed for the reception site in other to be there earlier before the couple & their train. Low and behold on getting to 495 beltway, there was backed up traffic to the point that cars barely moved. since i was already in the traffic, i thought of other option, so i decided to use alternate way to get to my destination. honestly it’s very important to know your way around in case of a situation like this. i followed my instinct, exit off the beltway at the next exit and took the local routes that i knew quite well. luckily i got to the reception at the appropriate time and was able to settle down & wait for atleast about 45 minutes -1hour before the arrival of the couple.

However, rain and traffic were intense that day, yet the wedding was beautiful and glamorous, what a lovely and happy moment for the newly wed couple. I had a great time shooting ….. and thru that i met couple of prospective new clients which i will be honored to cover their wedding too.

Afolabi - Nice work. The last shot is priceless!January 14, 2010 - 10:07 pm

CLARA & PETER

Good reputation is worth more than silver or gold. Whatever we do in life, it’s always important to leave a good tract…. simply put… Always do good and deal with people with respect & open mind because first impression does really matter.

Clara & Peter wanted me as their official wedding photographer as a result of my work they saw @ their newly found friends house. Ironically their friend was one of my past client, who also spoke highly well of me & services i provide as a professional photographer.

When i met with the couple @ the studio, it was such an amazing moment during the consultation and i got to know the couples are from KENYA.

Their wedding took place in clarksville in the outskirt of germantown. On that day, i set out early so as to set up my lights since both ceremony and reception are in thesame hall and the hall lightening condition totally not encouraging not to mention the cloudy weather ready to touch down @ any moment.

The day started as planned, got my pre-wedding gown/ preparation shoot out of the way, likewise able to get the bride shots out of the way before the rain started.

Wedding was lovely and reception was fantastic too, but it rained all day which prevented some of the location shoot planned. Besides it was such a great day for clara & Peter and i did enjoy it too…

TINUMIDE

Wedding of Tinu & Olumide was actually a day before my birthday July 25th. when i met with Tinu for consultation, i was shocked when she told me the date. WHY?, well i had planned for a family time out to celebrate for the whole weekend. but i had a change of mind when she told me specifically that she made up her mind long time ago that i was going to be her wedding photographer and she did not even bother to look anywhere else. honestly it took me by suprise, and i accepted it as a great honor. So i cleared my calender and secured the date for her.

Few weeks down the line, i met with the couple for their engagement photo session, indeed i was impressed by olumide’s broad knowledge of things, very intelligent guy. infact both of them are so cute together and it was a lovely session both indoor and outdoor.

Their wedding day was beautiful, One thing i noticed was that Tinu is very disciplined when it comes to attention to detail, which actually helped my work on that day. we started the day early ontime as planned, got to church ontime, and the reception was ontime too. i did enjoy my time throughout the wedding.

Afolabi - Nice pictures especially the attention to details. I like how the blue pops out on the shots! Great work.November 28, 2009 - 7:26 pm

Dotun - nice story telling and details.November 23, 2009 - 6:02 pm

DAYO & DUPE

I flew to Atlanta GA, for a wedding gig… This new couple Dayo & Dupe are such a wonderful people. Beautiful & charming…. they both complement each other. Honestly I had a ball throughout my stay.

I lodged @ Hyatt regency Hotel on Peachtree street downtown where i met with couple of friends, Kim Trice, charlton video-grapher for the wedding.. One other thing i love about Atlanta is that the city is so lively & people are so friendly and I look forward to going back to ATL….

Guess what, Indeed the wedding day of Dayo & Dupe was… unnnmmhuuummm… GRANDEUR…. I was busy all day from the start till the end. To sums it all… it was splendid….. I wish you were there too.

Mike & Osasu

I met this wonderful couple at another wedding i covered in Maryland, we spoke briefly and exchanged information. After they checked my work online, i recieved a call from them as both expressed their satisfaction about my work. they came to the studio for consultation, checked packages and booked their wedding date.

Mike and Osasu’s wedding was in Pittsburg Pensilvania. I waived my option either to drive or fly over to pittsburg. In a nutshel, i drove down from home base in Maryland to Pittsburg on friday morning. Infact it was really lovely, such an awesome trip except that weather was really bad when i was going… i mean… heavy rain.. yet i got to pittsburg in about 5 hours… … Not bad at all…

Along the way i saw beatiful sights, mountains, valleys, and jaw dropping landscapes. First instinct that came to mind was to stop and take pictures, but rain prevented me from doing so.

On the wedding day, the couple lodged at the Hyatt Regency Hotel by the Airport which is the same location for the Reception but the Ceremony was at a cathedral church in downtown Pittsburg which is about 20 minutes drive…. still within a reasonable distance.

Honestly i had a ball shooting this wedding… On sunday next day after the wedding, i drove around town in pittsburg, checked out couple of shopping Mall, before finally returned back to Maryland.
